Tesla Opens Orders for RWD Model Y in Europe

Online configurator for ordering Model Y on the Tesla website in Germany

Tesla has opened orders for the RWD Model Y in Europe. The delivery time for the new variant is from December 2022 to February 2023.

Finally, the Europeans waited for the expansion of the offer for Tesla cars in Europe. The manufacturer has added the base Model Y, listed as a rear-wheel drive (RWD) in the online order configurator on its website. Now Tesla will offer all Model Y variants: Long Range, Performance, and base (rear-wheel drive).

The cost of a Tesla car in different countries is different. For example, in Germany, the RWD Model Y will cost €3,000 less than the LR and €11,500 less than the Performance. It is worth noting that in Germany, the starting cost of cars is lower than in some other European countries, so the difference in cost between different variants is much smaller. In France, the RWD Model Y costs €15,000 less than the LR and €20,000 less than the Performance. In Spain, the base variant costs €14,790 less than the LR and €18,800 less than the Performance.

The RWD Model Y offers a range of 455 km (283 miles), a top speed of 217 km/h (135 mph), and acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. In fact, the car becomes an ideal option for many Europeans, as it is a very good buy. The driving range of the car is enough to overcome the distances between neighboring cities or for use in the city, charging every few days. While a wide network of charging stations throughout Europe makes it possible to travel both within any country and throughout Europe, without worrying about the range.

When ordering now, the RWD Model Y delivery time will be from December 2022 to February 2023, which is not too long. Tesla did not specify which factory the cars would be made from. At the moment, it is known that Giga Berlin produces only the Long Range and Performance versions.
