Tesla opened the Model Y order page in Australia just a few hours ago. The first deliveries for the Model Y RWD will take place in August-November 2022.
On June 8, two trucks with Tesla Model Ys were spotted in Australia, causing a big stir. Information from various sources indicated that these cars were designed for showrooms. One of them already was placed in the manufacturer's store in the Gold Coast, which only confirmed earlier information.
Friday morning, Australian Eastern Standard Time, @ev_australia/Twitter reported that Tesla posted the Model Y Owner's manual on the Tesla Australia website, although the order page was inactive. Meanwhile, Simon Holmes à Court announced on his Twitter that the order page will be available from 10 am local time.

Just a few hours ago, Tesla launched the Model Y order page in Australia, as planned, which must be great news for the company's customers who have been looking forward to this day for years. According to the website, the Model Y RWD will cost buyers A$74,311 (about US$52,769). Model Y Performance will cost A$105,590 (about US$74,981).
If you order Model Y RWD now, delivery will take place around August-November 2022. The first deliveries of Model Y Performance will take place in November 2022 - February 2023. Model Y Long Range is not presented on the site and remains unavailable for order. At the moment, information about the timing of its possible appearance remains unknown. It is likely that this variant of the car will become available for order only after Giga Shanghai has made up for the loss in production that occurred during the shutdown.
