Tesla will host Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day as part of a national event focused on inspiring and encouraging girls to explore careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), according to the company's announcement on LinkedIn. This event will provide middle school students with “an inside look at our factories, insights from Tesla engineers and more.” The event will take place on February 21 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM PST, and will be held virtually.
Tesla, in collaboration with Envirolution, is hosting this event for the 6th consecutive year. The event will run for one hour and will be dedicated to empowering and inspiring middle school students to choose a STEAM path for an engineering career. Tesla and Envirolution team members will talk about the benefits of a career as an engineer, with a focus on inspiring Tesla innovations around the world.
To reserve a seat at the event, please visit eventbrite.com. Registration closes February 10 at 5:00 pm PST. Middle school students will also have the opportunity to register for an optional virtual hands-on activity, held during Women's History Month in March. This activity will connect with engineering and relates to Tesla’s motors.
