Tesla will take part in CIIE 2021, highlighting the achievements of Giga Shanghai in various fields. For the first time, the company will reveal many exclusive details about the technologies it uses in production, the "green work" methods of the factory, and the operation of the new data center.

Tesla will once again attend the 2021 China International Import Expo (CIIE). CIIE will take place from November 5 to November 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai, China. It is a major trade and diversified exhibition that will house an integrated exhibition area for state trade and investment, and an exhibition area for enterprises and businesses.

Tesla will reveal to the audience some of its exclusive secrets in the production of electric vehicles, and meanwhile showcase the latest achievements in the production process with localization in China. At CIIE, the company will also showcase its superior manufacturing concepts and cutting-edge technology.

Tesla will for the first time present a body in white, casting parts, batteries, motors, and other car parts. All exhibits will be accompanied by videos from the workshops, which will demonstrate the intricacies of production. In particular, a comprehensive analysis of engines, production processes in the battery workshop, casting, stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly will be carried out, which will allow everyone to see the production logic behind Tesla cars.

In addition, Giga Shanghai achieved 92% recycling of metal battery raw materials and 96% recycling of industrial waste. The introduction of “green” attributes in terms of circular energy, energy savings, and emission reductions were highly praised in the sector. During CIIE, Tesla will also detail its factory's environmental protection measures in the areas of logistics and transportation, battery recycling, solid waste disposal, water treatment plants, and more, which should give more factories valuable experience and technology exchange for the implementation of "green" improvements.

In addition, for the first time, Tesla will showcase comprehensive and systematic advances in localization: the charging network layout required for car owners and Tesla stores that provide consultation, test drive, delivery, and service to consumers.

The Giga Shanghai data center will also be on display. The data center is used to store operational data received in China and is an important measure for Tesla to comply with Chinese regulations and ensure the safety of vehicles and data.
