After years of market research and preparation, Tesla will officially launch in Thailand in December. Model 3 was the second best-selling electric vehicle in that market in 2021 even though the cars were not officially sold there.

Tesla is finally expanding in Thailand, where preparations have been made in recent years. @darenyoong/Twitter reported that Tesla will officially launch in Thailand in December. The information was posted on Tesla's LinkedIn account on November 28 for users in Thailand only. This was great and inspiring news as there is a lot of interest in the local market. Tesla Model 3 was the second best-selling electric vehicle in that market in 2021 even though they were not officially sold there.

Tesla is looking to expand, so the company is trying to establish good relationships with various countries and provide customers around the world with the pleasure of owning its cars. In 2020, Tesla asked the Thai government for more information on the country's investment promotion policy and industry overview. It was even reported that officials were preparing a conference call to discuss the matter in detail.

Documents dated April 25, 2022, showed that Tesla had registered to start selling cars, solar panels, and energy storage systems in Thailand. The application was signed by Tesla's Global Senior Director of Trade Market Access, David Jon Feinstein. The company has indicated that it is registering for sales of new passenger motor vehicles, pickup trucks, vans, and similar light motor vehicles.

In September, the company opened recruitment for a number of positions and conducted interviews at the Walk-In Recruitment Day. All job postings hinted that Tesla is looking to open a store, delivery center, and service center in Thailand. To date, an exact date for the opening event has not been announced and Tesmanian will continue to monitor for updates.
