Twitter will not be removed from the Apple Store, Elon Musk said after meeting with Tim Cook on Wednesday. Apple's CEO made it clear that the company never thought about it.

On Wednesday, Elon Musk met with the CEO of Apple Inc., Tim Cook, at the manufacturer's headquarters in Cupertino, California, which was a positive signal in light of growing tensions between the companies. The new owner of the social media platform posted a tweet with a video of a pond on Apple property, saying that Cook had given him a tour of the area. Although nothing else was written, it became clear that the company's executives had a conversation in which they discussed the relationship between their companies. Musk made a live update to keep everyone informed of the situation without hiding anything.

Hours after the meeting, in a follow-up tweet, Musk reported that it went well. Both executives had a good conversation, and among other things, “resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store.” Musk also said that Cook made it clear that Apple never thought about it.

At the moment, it remains unclear the situation that began to heat up between the two technology companies. Musk previously said that Apple “threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store” without explaining the reason. Perhaps Twitter received some kind of warning from Apple, since after Musk's purchase of the company, many advertisers and companies began to reconsider their relationship with the platform. If the reason for the voiced warning was not indicated, it is obvious that such a message could be regarded by Twitter as a threat.

Representatives from Apple and Twitter have previously met regularly to discuss the operation and development of the application. This strategy applies to all major developers who have apps on the Apple Store.
