Two days left to enter the Inspiration4 Contest for a chance to go to space aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon

If you are a U.S. citizen and have ever dreamt of going to space, the Inspiration4 mission led by Shift4Payments founder Jared Isaacman is offering the general public the chance to go to space aboard SpaceX’s first all-civilian mission. Inspiration4 is a massive fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There’s two days left to enter the Inspiration4 contest, the final day is February 28th. To participate you can donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital via the Inspiration4.com website, the winner of the ‘Generosity’ seat aboard Crew Dragon will be selected during a raffle on Sunday. They will get a custom-made SpaceX spacesuit and initiate commercial astronaut training alongside Isaacman who represents ‘Leadership,’ and Hayley Arceneaux, a physician assistant at St. Jude’s oncology unit in Memphis, Tennessee, who will embody ‘Hope’ as a pediatric cancer survivor. “Honestly, I'm not nervous at all… I think that my cancer journey prepared me for this,” she said. Arceneaux hopes to inspire the children at St. Jude through the Inspiration4 flight in which she will serve as the crew's medical chief. “I really hope to show them that the sky's not even the limit. That they can do anything. I never thought I'd be able to go to space, and really until this mission, you had to be physically perfect,” she said, “And this mission is changing things and getting to be a cancer survivor in space is such an incredible honor, and I can't wait to talk to my patients about this and just to show them that they can't limit themselves because they can really do anything.”

Isaacman donated $100 million to St. Jude, and so far the public has donated over $10 million through the Inspiration4.com site. The hospital provides patients with free treatment for life-threatening conditions and also provides meals for the childrens’ families. “In fulfilling a personal and lifelong dream, I recognize the tremendous responsibility that comes with commanding this mission,” Isaacman stated, “While a historic journey awaits us in space, I hope this mission reinforces how far inspiration can take us and the extraordinary achievements it leads to here on Earth,” he said.

Another way to enter the Inspiration4 contest is by opening an online business via Isaacman’s eCommerce platform Shift4Shop. To participate you simply share a video of your inspirational business story or idea on Twitter using the hashtag ‘#Inspiration4contest’ for a chance to represent ‘Prosperity’ aboard the first all-civilian spaceflight. This week, Inspiration4 announced the panel of independent judges who will select the winner of the space adventure. The judges are: Stephanie Mehta, Mark Rober, Jon Taffer, and Marc Benioff. The winner will be selected until mid-March, however, the final day to enter the contest is February 28 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
