The area in eastern Travis County, which belongs to Tesla, continues to grow. A group associated with Elon Musk purchased up to 620 acres across the Colorado River near Tesla Giga Texas.

Open documents show that an LLC, associated with one of Musk's main partners, acquired hundreds of acres of land near Tesla Giga Texas, right across the Colorado River for $1.1 billion. At the time of publication, it was unclear what this additional area would be used for, although the purchase of the land gives a hint of the grandeur of the plans, one of the most famous figures in the world.

Property records filed with the Travis County Clerk's office indicate that a group called Horse Ranch LLC purchased up to 620 acres earlier this year from William McMorris Jr., his wife, Susan, and Barbara Gill, on behalf of the estate of Robert Gill Jr. However. It was not immediately clear exactly how many acres were transferred. Records filed with Travis Central Appraisal District corroborate some of the land purchases, though it only shows nearly 300 acres tied to Horse Ranch LLC, according to the Austin Business Journal.

A memo was also filed with Travis County in July that outlines a lease agreement allowing the McMorrises to lease the land from Horse Ranch LLC for up to five years. Here, for the first time, the alleged connection with Musk is revealed. Jared Birchall, who is on the board of the Musk Foundation and is the manager of Tesla and SpaceX chief's family office, was listed as the manager of Horse Ranch LLC on the property records and in filings with the Texas Secretary of State's office. Together with the knowledge of the plans of the head of Tesla and SpaceX regarding Austin, it becomes obvious that the city will go through a profound transformation, becoming one of the most attractive cities for development in the United States.
