Tesla CEO Elon Musk said Monday that he will provide an update on Cybertruck in the upcoming Q4 2021 earnings call. Earlier, the head of the company announced that he would not take a permanent part in quarterly earnings calls.
During the July earnings call, Elon Musk said that he would not necessarily be present for future ones. He clarified that this may change if he has to say something really important. After that, Musk didn’t show up on the Q3 earnings call, putting his words into action. This was his first absence in more than ten years.
Nevertheless, the Q4 earnings call seems to be something really important. In addition to the Q4 report, the company will provide information for the full year of 2021, as well as provide updates for 2022. With this in mind, Musk's appearance at the event seems to be expected. On November 29, the leader of the company confirmed that he will join the forthcoming earnings call.
When asked on Twitter about getting an update on Cybertruck, Musk wrote that he "will provide an updated product roadmap on next earnings call," clarifying that "this year has been such a supply chain nightmare & it's not over."
