Elon Musk is to unveil the updated Tesla Model 3 at Giga Shanghai, according to a report. It is reported this will happen on Thursday and prototypes will be used for the presentation.
Tesla plans to show off its facelifted Model 3 sedan for the first time very soon, according to people familiar with the matter. This will take place as part of a visit by CEO Elon Musk to the company's Shanghai factory, according to Bloomberg. Musk is currently in China on a business trip and has already held meetings with top officials in the country.
The first cars to roll off the assembly line on Thursday are reported to be prototypes. Previously, prototypes of the updated Model 3 were spotted several times while testing on US roads. However, the parts of the body involved in changes were covered, so it was impossible to see the car in its entirety. According to those photos and information that has already been leaked, the updated Model 3 will be slightly longer and sportier than the previous version, and will also have an updated interior. In addition, it will use updated equipment.
So far, Tesla has not hinted when it is going to unveil the car to the public. However, according to leaked information, the company was going to begin mass production of the updated Model 3 in Q3 2023. It should be kept in mind that the company has not made official announcements about the updated car.
