Just a few days ago, a new update of FSD Beta was released, which is significantly different than the prior version. EAP participants have already started testing it, noting that the driving style has become more confident, braking is smoother, and in some situations, it behaves in the same way as a human driver--making appropriate human-like maneuvers. In about two weeks, even more people will have the opportunity to start testing it.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk wrote that, possibly in about two weeks, the company will begin distributing the FSD Beta to more Tesla owners. This is incredibly good news.
Probably going to a wider beta in ~2 weeks
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 28, 2020
Musk previously wrote that, if testing of the fifth update of FSD Beta is successful and looks good, then Tesla will expand access to it to even more Tesla owners in the United States. At the moment, it looks like Tesla is happy with the new update, and this is not surprising given the many positive reviews. Perhaps this is why Musk wrote that the next expansion of the distribution could begin in just two more weeks.
Meanwhile, the more owners that have access to early testing, the more data Tesla will receive for further training, and the better FSD Beta becomes. Concurrently, the company continues to develop its Dojo supercomputer, which drastically reduces the time required to process these massive influxes of data.
