Tesla CEO Elon Musk visited Giga Berlin to oversee the construction of the factory, noting that the place would be amazing. He urged his local suppliers to accelerate as the next-gen Model Y is close to production.
Musk arrived in Berlin a few days ago for a technical visit, during which he went through all aspects of the next-gen Model Y production system. Apparently, he examined the currently installed equipment, which will begin production of cars in the next few months. Since Tesla has been actively recruiting in recent months, many positions have already been filled, and Musk noted that there are many talented people at Giga Berlin. It seems that the head of the company was inspired by his visit and noted that the factory will be amazing.

Later, via Twitter, Musk urged Giga Berlin's suppliers to accelerate their efforts, hinting that the company might be ready to start production very soon. However, to achieve this, they need to expedite the delivery and installation of all the needed equipment.
Giga Berlin should become the first Tesla factory to produce the next-gen Model Y. For its production, the company will use the latest technology. "Aiming for extreme precision with next gen Model Y - microns, not millimeters," Musk tweeted. He hopes the first cars roll off the assembly line by the end of 2021. However, it is difficult to give an accurate forecast, given the unreasonably long approval process for projects in Germany.

As part of his visit, Musk had informal meetings with the Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany Andreas Scheuer, and the Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Energy Jörg Steinbach. It seems that both meetings left only the best impressions, as the politicians shared positive messages on social networks.
