Tesla in China has met unprecedented growth in demand for its cars. Customers are buying them up at a very high speed, and more than 120,000 made in China Model 3s have already appeared on the roads of the country. This is why Tesla decided to accelerate the construction of the Superchargers even further, in order to increase customer satisfaction.

After Tesla opened sales and introduced the Model Y, we have already received numerous reports of the amazing interest of the Chinese. In the shops where the car was displayed, we can see endless streams of consumers who want to test the new product from Tesla. The demand for Model Y is so high that customers who place an order on January 5 will only receive delivery in Q2. The very first customers will receive delivery after the Chinese New Year.

Tesla will now focus heavily on planning charger infrastructure in 2021 to increase customer confidence that they can charge their vehicle anywhere in China.

“Every day we can collect a large number of suggestions and customer reviews. According to the majority of customer feedback and inquiries, we will make timely adjustments, improvements, and updates to optimize the system, thereby creating a closed-loop of customer experience improvement so that more customers can enjoy a seamless experience,” said Xue Juncheng, Tesla Director of Service for Greater China.

Juncheng said that, as of the end of 2020, Tesla has built more than 600 Superchargers in China, and intends to double its deployment speed in 2021. He also said that the company will increase the number of V3 Superchargers.
