Elon Musk again surprised fans and shareholders of the company with new details about Cybertruck. According to him, the initial production of the electric pickup truck will start with a 4 motor variant, which can move diagonally like a crab.

Recently, rumors have begun circulating in the Tesla community that the manufacturer intends to abandon the single motor version and offer something different. This followed after the Cybertruck order configurator on the company's website stopped offering options for ordering. Although this information has not yet been confirmed, it just became known that there will now be a new version of the pickup truck.

On Friday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced via Twitter that the company will begin production of Cybertruck with a 4 motor variant, the existence of which has not been publicly announced until now. According to Musk, such Cybertrucks will have independent, ultra-fast response torque control of each wheel. This configuration will make the pickup truck special, as it will have excellent maneuverability. According to the description, it will have front and rear wheel steering, making it possible to move diagonally like a crab.

At the moment, it is not known what the price of the 4 motor variant of Cybertruck will be and how its appearance will affect the already existing pre-orders for the pickup truck. Musk said he would provide a full update during the Q4 2021 Earnings Call. Tesla's recent activity, closely associated with Cybertruck's trademark--Cyberwhistle, Cyberquad for Kids, as well as the company's CEO's promise to appear on an upcoming earnings call--all hint that the company still has a surprise in store for its shareholders, fans, and analysts.
