Tesla Cybertruck Becomes a Muse for the TSLA Community

by Claribelle Deveza December 05, 2019

Tesla-Cybertruck-Muse-for-Tesla-Community

Tesla’s Cybertruck has become a muse to the TSLA community. Elon Musk’s all-electric pickup truck has inspired many people to get creative with the Cybertruck’s image. Musk and all the companies he heads have become a source of creative inspiration for people from all walks of life. The Cybertruck is just the latest muse to come from Elon Musk and the companies he leads.

Ask anyone on the Tesla team, and they’ll tell you that the Cybertruck was solely spearheaded by Elon Musk and his imagination. The multi-billionaire dreamed of a futuristic pickup truck that evoked the same power and presence as the vehicles depicted in Sci-Fi movies from the ’80s.

The CYBRTRK is an obvious ode to the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the 1976 Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me, and—of course—the truck from Blade Runner. For anyone who watched those films, those vehicles were from the future. Fast forward to 2019, and there aren’t cars like the DeLorean at all…until the Cybertruck.

Now, it’s the CYBRTRK’s turn to inspire people. Since its unveiling, Tesla’s pickup truck has inspired people in so many ways. Initially, people were inspired by its stainless steel exoskeleton.

For the Tesla community and big-brand companies, the Cybertruck’s exterior was like a blank canvas. There were so many renders shared online of the CYBRTRK in many different colors and designs, like matte black--which was suggested by @SuperSaf. A few companies joined the fray, too, by putting their brand names on the all-electric pickup truck.

More recently, people in the Tesla community have been inspired to create short videos of the Cybertruck. For instance, @flcnhvy created a spec ad video for the vehicle, which was very informative and edited in a way that showcased the best assets of the truck. Then there is @AFMusk’s video, which is a parody trailer of the Blade Runner movie, featuring Elon Musk and his Cybertruck as the main characters.

The Cybertruck has inspired creative ideas outside the realm of paint jobs and videos, too. For example, one CYBRTRK reservation holder has decided to turn his all-electric pickup truck into a generator for his tiny house. Like all of Tesla’s vehicles, the Cybertruck challenges people’s perception of transportation from the way cars look to the way they are utilized.

Elon Musk’s inspiring products and actions don’t end with Tesla either. SpaceX has reinvigorated people’s excitement for the unexplored frontier that is Space. SpaceX has also become a muse for creative art, like The Adventures of Starman by the creator of YouTube channel My Tesla Adventure

Tesla skeptics and TSLAQ always seem to miss that part of Elon Musk and the companies he leads. Like many innovative companies before it, Tesla and SpaceX have broken through the lull in technological advancement that often happens from time to time. These companies have inspired people to think differently, do different, and be unapologetic about it. They have taught people to question the norm and ask, “How can I do better?”
