The Giga Texas grand opening party was a great success. In addition to high-end entertainment, Cyber Rodeo brought some great informational updates. Elon Musk revealed that the start of production of the Tesla Cybertruck, Roadster 2.0, and Semi is scheduled for 2023.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk inaugurated the new factory in Austin, Texas. Giga Texas is Tesla's third manufacturing facility in the US, its fourth vehicle manufacturing and assembly factory in the world, and the second to open this year. The huge building, which can house 194 billion hamsters, as described by Elon Musk, at this moment houses the production lines for Model Y. However, there is room for something more.

During his speech, the head of Tesla gave several very important informational updates for the company's customers and investors. Musk confirmed that the company will begin production of Cybertruck in 2023. "We're gonna start manufacturing Cybertruck next year," Musk said. "Cybertruck is coming next year. We'll be in production with Cybertruck next year," he repeated.

The electric pickup truck is long-awaited not only for customers but also for Musk himself, because it is his brainchild, created as a combination of his engineering, fantasy, and aesthetic perceptions, designed to bring benefit and satisfaction to customers. Cybertruck was created with passion and likely reflects the personality of Musk himself. "I can't wait to have this baby around. [Cybertruck] is gonna be epic," he said.

Musk confirmed that Cybertruck will be manufactured at Giga Texas. Although he did not elaborate further, it can be assumed that its production will be located in the southwestern part of the existing building, which is labeled "Future Production." Since Tesla does not yet have any additional buildings at Giga Texas, this location is the only obvious one.

The head of the company also confirmed that production of Tesla Semi will also begin in 2023. For now, it is known that the company has a production line for the electric truck in Giga Nevada, where small-scale production is rumored to take place. Several Semis have been spotted there during testing in recent months.

In addition, Musk said that the new-gen Roadster will also begin production in 2023. It was previously reported that its production will take place in Fremont, although there are no other details about this. In February 2022, during a visit by Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen on the Spike Car Radio podcast, he said that while the car was being developed, the Tesla team learned a lot and created new technologies that are ultimately much better. For example, the Plaid platform has yielded a lot of knowledge and experience, which will lead to the production of a car that is even better than the original Roadster 2.0 idea.

"We're working on the Roadster. I wish we were working faster, but I have to also say that in the time that we have been developing it, we have also been learning a lot, like Plaid is a great learning platform, that all those experiences will make its way back into a much better Roadster than had we launched right after when we debuted it."

In addition, Holzhausen confirmed that Roadster will have a unique property for cars, namely the ability to fly. "It will be an amazing, exciting flying machine," he said.

Tesla has a very large production plan for 2023. With even more production sites, its fulfillment seems very real. "We're going to move to...scale that no company has ever achieved in the history of humanity," Musk said during his speech at Giga Texas.
