After Tesla announced plans to build its next factory outside the US in Germany, local sentiment shifted to growing sympathy. Since the heart of the world's auto industry is located here, working for local automakers has always been the most popular. After starting the construction of its own factory in Germany, Tesla gained the same prestige among job seekers and students as some other manufacturers and entered the top five most attractive employers in Germany.

Between October 2020 and March 2021, approximately 53,000 students from various disciplines were surveyed in Germany. For the first time in the history of the country, Tesla has been selected as a potential employer in a ranking of the most popular employers among students in economics, engineering, information technology/computer science, and science. According to the survey, the company received fifth place in the overall rating.

Daimler/Mercedes-Benz is in first place, Porsche is in second, Apple is in third, and BMW is in fourth. Entering the top five indicates a high acceptance of Tesla as an employer, and could potentially bring even better results in the future, given the ideology and policies of the company.

In addition, Tesla was ranked second among engineering students. It is obvious that a young and promising company aimed at developing innovations is an excellent place for a career for specialists of this specialty. Throughout its existence, Tesla has always striven to create something never before created, offering talented employees to build excellent, interesting, and high-paying careers.

Another equally important aspect of Tesla's attractiveness is the company’s focus on sustainable development. More than 80 percent of those surveyed said they viewed sustainability as an important factor when choosing an employer. Wages, work environment, and career opportunities in the company were named as additional criteria.
