Tesla is gearing up for expansion in Israel by signing a long-term lease on a property in northern Netanya that will be used for a showroom and service center.

Tesla is preparing to expand in Israel to meet the needs of a rapidly growing market. Globes has learned that the company has recently signed a lease on a property in Netanya's industrial estate, where it will host a major sales and service center. The 50,000 square-feet private property is located at 39-41 Hakadar Street in northern Netanya.

According to a presentation by realtor Yair Levy Real Estate Strategy, which brokered the deal, the property has “3,300 square meters of built-up area and building rights of 300-400% for commerce and offices.” The property was originally listed for sale for 47 million shekels (about $14 million). However, sources say Tesla has signed a long-term lease on it. It is reported that several car importers are interested in this property.

The new center will have a permanent Tesla showroom in Israel, as well as a body and paint shop that will replace Tesla's existing small garage next to the company's current Israeli headquarters in Kiryat Ata. Until now, Tesla has been selling its vehicles in Israel online and in malls. The showroom is due to open in August 2023. In addition to showing new cars, it will offer a trade-in service and a stock of cars for immediate sale.

Tesla began selling its vehicles in Israel in March 2021 and has since delivered over 10,000 new vehicles to the country's roads. Following the aggressive price cuts announced on January 13, the company has received thousands more orders and plans to deliver 3,000-4,000 vehicles in the first half of this year, subject to stock availability.
