Tesla has announced the expansion of its Non-Tesla Supercharger pilot program to several more European countries. Now, in addition to the Netherlands, Norway and France, owners of all electric vehicles in Austria, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, and the UK can charge at Tesla's branded charging stations.

Tesla continues to expand its support for electric vehicle owners in Europe. According to the announcement, the manufacturer has opened its Superchargers for all electric vehicles in Austria, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. The move marks continued support for the development of the electric vehicle market and people who choose environmentally friendly vehicles. The company's efforts are directly focused on supporting its mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

Access to an extensive, convenient, and reliable fast-charging network is critical to the large-scale adoption of electric vehicles, Tesla emphasizes. That is why, since the opening of its first Supercharger stations in 2012, the company has continued to rapidly expand its network and today has over 30,000 Superchargers worldwide. Tesla has always strived to open up the Supercharger network to all-electric vehicles and thereby encourage more drivers to switch to EVs. More customers using the Supercharger network enables faster expansion.

Thus, the total number of countries in which the pilot program operates has reached 8. Tesla monitors all Superchargers in which access is open to charge all EVs in order to control the situation and make adjustments if necessary. Please note that access is only available at certain charging stations in the countries. The Non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently available for Supercharging stations in the following countries:

  • France
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • United Kingdom
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria

The Non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently limited to EV drivers who live in the following countries:

  • Netherlands
  • France
  • Norway
  • Germany
  • United Kingdom
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria
