Tesla began offering delivery of Giga Texas-made Model Y “in the area.” The vehicles are equipped with 4680 cells and a structural battery pack, and can be delivered within the next weeks.
Tesla began deliveries of the Giga Texas-built Model Y on April 7 at the factory's grand opening ceremony. According to reports, the cars were only delivered to employees of the company that day, and there have been no updates on this since then. However, this seems to be changing soon, as indicated by an email sent to a customer.
Ganesh/Twitter who resides in Austin, Texas, has an order for Model Y. Although he did not say when he expected delivery of his car, he did share an email received from Tesla suggesting he expedite delivery and receive the car in the coming weeks. To do this, the company offered the client a Giga Texas-made Model Y.
