Testing FSD Beta V10 went well, which means that Tesla will soon begin a wider implementation of the software. The button to request the installation of FSD Beta will appear next Friday, says Elon Musk.

The wider distribution of the latest Tesla software for FSD is a very welcome event. Tesla owners have been waiting for this for several months and it seems they will soon be able to access FSD Beta in the U.S. On September 10, the manufacturer began distributing FSD Beta V10 and promised that in the V10.1 update there will be a download button if testing is successful.

Musk tweeted Friday that the company has received good reviews from FSD Beta V10 testers and is now rolling out a 10.0.1 point release. He also said that Tesla is preparing a V10.1 release, which will contain a download button for FSD Beta, and intends to start distributing it next Friday.

Musk also talked about how the "button" would work. After making a request to obtain FSD Beta, individuals will have to agree to give the company access to track their driving behavior. After collecting data within seven days of the request, Tesla will evaluate the driver with its insurance calculator. If the driver's behavior is good during this time period, then FSD Beta will be made available.
