Tesla Giga Texas supplements the Cybertruck production line with experienced employees. It is reported that the Model Y production line will undergo changes, and some employees from there will transfer to the Cybertruck production line to complete testing, calibration, and get the line into production status.
Investors and customers of Tesla are looking forward to the start of production of Cybertruck. According to the company's plan, this should take place in the middle of this year—that is, in the near future. In recent months, Giga Texas has been outfitted with a production line for the truck. In addition, many workers have been hired and trained for dozens of positions for the Cybertruck production line.
Now, new news is coming from Giga Texas. Factory progress observer Joe Tegtmeyer/Twitter provided some interesting details. Based on observations and information from his own sources in the factory, Joe learned about the upcoming changes inside. He learned that Tesla is changing the model of work at the Model Y production line. In the coming days, the factory will switch away from swing shifts to day and night shifts only.
Thanks to this, a certain number of experienced employees will be released. According to Joe, personnel who were formerly on the swing shift will be redirected to the Cybertruck production lines. These experienced employees will be required to finalize testing, calibration, and get the line into production status. This entire process is expected to take about one month or more. Thus, the launch of the line is expected no earlier than at the beginning of August.
