The deployment of Tesla vehicles to the online dispatch service will be the Texas-based manufacturer's first attempt at introducing electric vehicles to the taxi and car rental industry in Japan. The first batch of 30 Model Ys will be deployed as early as November. The electric vehicles will be deployed at three Hinomaru Kotsu offices in the Setagaya, Edogawa, and Adachi areas. After that, the vehicles will be deployed at subsidiaries of the Hinomaru Motors group, and by the end of 2024, the total number of vehicles will be increased to 100.
