Ukraine Minister of Digital Transformation thanks SpaceX founder Elon Musk for delivering over 40k Starlink user terminals & 500+ Tesla Powerwalls

It’s been over a year since Russia aggressively invaded Ukraine, starting a full blown war that caused millions of civilians to flee the country. The invasion caused severe damage to critical infrastructures, including telecommunications systems. World leaders and companies have been trying to help all the innocent lives affected by the Russia-Ukraine war by sending donations ranging from weapons to humanitarian assistance.

Since February 2022, SpaceX has delivered over 40,000 Starlink Kits to Ukraine, which includes a phased array antenna and Wi-Fi router to access the broadband satellite internet wirelessly. The Starlink satellite network has been useful for the Ukrainian government, military, and emergency responders to rescue civilians and maintain reliable communications to coordinate civilian safety and defense operations. Starlink is also being used by civilians to maintain contact with their loved ones.

This week, Ukraine’s Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov thanked SpaceX founder Elon Musk for supporting the country of Ukraine during these difficult times. “500+ Tesla Powerwalls to keep resilience of Ukraine's medical, social & energy infrastructure. Let me remind you that we have already received 40K+ Starlinks. Thanks Elon Musk for such crucial equipment for Ukraine,” they captioned a video shared via X.  “It’s all Tesla Powerwalls. 508 powerful stations, giant power banks. These devices will supply schools, hospitals, kindergartens, nationwide. For someone, this is an opportunity to learn, for another one to gain strength and knowledge, and for someone this is all about saving lives and living the life. Thank you Elon,” said Fedorov in the video, linked below. “You are most welcome,” replied Musk to the video message.
