Tesla Terafactory Location Shows Up On Tesla Navigation Maps?!

The location of the new Tesla factory has now appeared in navigation on the company's vehicles. According to this information, it will be near Austin, Texas.

A few days ago, the Austin Tesla Club discover that Tesla Terafactory Texas appearing on maps, sharing images of Tesla Maps. Within hours, people discovered that the Tesla Terafactory Texas Option also appeared on Google Maps. The location is listed as 'Tesla Terafactory Texas' and shows the address in Hatto, located 22 miles northeast of Austin.

Google Maps gives the following directions from Hutto, TX to Tesla Terafactory Texas. From Hutto TX head north on Jim Cage Ln toward US-79 S. Turn right at the 1st cross street onto US-79 N. Turn right onto Co Rd 132. Turn left on 5701 Co Rd 132, Hutto, TX 78634.



Torque News reports that Google Maps even provides a website, which shows the property's map. This property, which is a 1486 acre land with dual rail site and 3 miles from Hutto, TX was the runner up to Giga Nevada.

In 2014 Tesla had this property in Hutto, TX, and the Sparks property in Nevada as finalists for its Giga Nevada factory. Eventually, Tesla chose the property in Sparks, Nevada.

Earlier, Tesmanian reported that, according to a person familiar with the case, Tesla had already acquired a site near Austin, so the appearance of this place on the maps in the manufacturer’s cars indicates that this is true.

The satellite image of the address shows a plot of land that is conveniently located near transportation corridor Route 79, the location is in easy reach of the nearby suburbs of Hutto and a 25-minute drive from the metropolitan area of ​​Austin.
