Tesla Unveils Refreshed Model S & X with CCS2 Charging Port in Taiwan

Tesla introduces the refreshed Model S and Model X with CCS2 charging port in Taiwan. This is the first presentation of the company's refreshed vehicles outside of the United States.

In the summer of 2021, Tesla introduced the refreshed Model S and Model X to its US customers. After a while, consumers in some countries of the world received the opportunity to order vehicles. Now we see the first signs of the start of wider production of the brand's premium vehicles. Michael Hsu/Twitter announced that Tesla will be holding a grand presentation of the refreshed Model S and Model X in Taiwan on Tuesday. Introducing its vehicles to a new market may mean that the company is ready to fill more orders. Taiwan will be the first market outside of the US where Tesla will unveil its refreshed models.

As per the invitation, it will be a private presentation at Tesla's Taiwanese headquarters in Taipei, to which media representatives and customers alike will be invited. The invitation states that guests must arrive in accordance with the time indicated on their invitation, which means that the company could conduct a presentation for the media and a separate one for its clients.

A separate presentation for Taiwan may be related to the fact that Tesla will present the refreshed Model S and X for the first time with a native CCS2 charging port. Thus, it will be the first global presentation of vehicles in this configuration. Up to this point, the manufacturer has only offered vehicles with a modified Type 2 plug that supports both AC and DC charging. The CCS2 charging port is universal and allows you to charge cars on fast chargers of third-party operators and V3 Superchargers without an adapter.
