According to new information, the Israelis will receive their Tesla Model 3 a month earlier than the established date. This became possible as Giga Shanghai has started exporting cars to Israel.
After Tesla opened the Israel order page, it received thousands of orders. However, in Q1 2021, the company was able to satisfy only a small part of them, delivering only 120 vehicles. Delivery of the new batch was only scheduled for June, however the company's plans changed and Tesla was able to find a way to deliver some of the vehicles one month earlier.
Some Model 3 buyers have received notices that their vehicles could be delivered a month earlier than they thought. Tesla has already sent them a request to complete payment before the scheduled delivery date next month. This became possible due to the fact that the company is beginning to supply the Israeli market with cars produced at its plant in China. Messages sent to Israeli customers include a chassis number that says they were manufactured at Tesla's Shanghai factory.
Giga Shanghai began delivering Model 3s to the European market in fall 2020. Since Tesla Israel is a division of Tesla Europe, it makes sense that cars could also be supplied to the country's market from China. Tesla Israel has confirmed that the next batch of vehicles will be delivered in May, but delivery will continue until June. However, the company did not specify in which country they were produced.
