Two camouflaged Tesla Model 3 test units were spotted in India. One of them is a sample that has been tested in the country for some time, and the other is a new sample that has an increased ground clearance.

Despite the fact that Tesla did not come to an agreement with the Indian government to reduce the tax on imports of electric vehicles, the company continues to actively test its vehicles. The camouflaged Model 3 was recently spotted in India and is not the first test car spotted there.

A Deep Blue Metallic Model 3 was first seen in Pune, Maharashtra in mid-June. In mid-July, the same model car was again spotted there, only this time wearing camouflage wrap. Now, wheelsofautomotive0105/Instagram spotted the Model 3 in camouflage wrap again. It was a new test car that was parked next to another one that was spotted back in July. Both Tesla Model 3s were spotted on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Tesla Club India/Twitter posted photos of two camouflaged Model 3s. The vehicle with the license plate MH 14 TCL 337 is a new sample. If you look closely, you can see that the two cars have different ground clearance, and the new one appears higher.

Roads in India are of varying condition. In large and wealthy cities, the roads are wide and the road surface is of high quality. Meanwhile, in small towns, villages, and poor states, roads are in very poor condition, have many potholes and are partially just covered with crushed stone. Tesla started testing the Model 3 for a reason. Given the road conditions in India, the company strives to provide vehicles that will best fit them and not create constant problems for their owners.

In addition, Tesla Club India has shared some details regarding the location where the Model 3s have been spotted. They were in a parking lot near Starbucks, which is located on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. According to the post, this location is a potential site for hosting a Tesla Supercharger station.
