Dogecoin got a boost as Elon Musk talks about DOGE again. He confirmed his offer to eat a McDonald's Happy Meal on TV if the fast food chain will accept payments in the meme-cryptocurrency.

Elon Musk confirmed his intention to eat a McDonald's Happy Meal on TV if the fast food chain accepts dogecoin (DOGE). He originally made the offer a year ago on January 25, 2022, but McDonald's responded with a counteroffer at the time. The fast food chain was willing to accept DOGE for payment only on the condition that Tesla would start accepting Grimacecoin. Grimace is a fluffy, purple character who tags along with Ronald McDonald in McDonaldland commercials.

This week, the McDonald's Twitter account broke a two-month silence with the question,”what did i miss.” In response, it received a “Oh hi lol” from new Twitter owner Elon Musk. In the comments on the tweet, Musk was asked if the offer he made to McDonald's last year was still valid, to which he replied with the “100” emoji, meaning 100%.

Musk is a big supporter of Dogecoin. Tesla and Boring Co. are even accepting payments in the meme cryptocurrency, and SpaceX may also join the list in the near future. Musk, as well as one of his sons, also owns DOGE, in addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum. He confirmed last year that Tesla had not sold a single DOGE, and in November he said, “Dogecoin to the moon.”
