Tesla has officially started the first deliveries of the highly anticipated Model Y to Singapore. The car is very popular there, which promises new sales records soon.

Back at full production capacity, Giga Shanghai stepped up its efforts. In early June, the company launched Model Y order pages in a number of countries in the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore. In mid-July, the car was brought into the country for display to the public, further arousing consumers, especially those who were waiting for the delivery of Model Y.

Just a few weeks after that, the first ship with Model Ys onboard docked off the coast of Singapore. A few days after that, the first deliveries began and Tesla shared the first photos of happy customers on Instagram.

The cost of Model Y RWD in Singapore starts at SGD 91,990 (about $66,635), Performance starts at SGD 110,990 (about $80,399). At the moment, only the RWD version is being shipped, with the Performance scheduled for late 2022. The information about Long Range delivery is not available, nor is it possible to order it.

Tesla car buyers will qualify for a SGD 25,000 (about $17,920) electric car purchase incentive, which can be redeemed before December 31, 2022. An additional rebate of SGD 20,000 (about $14,335) can be received on purchases made before December 31, 2023.
