Tesla has begun rolling out FSD Beta in its HW4-equipped vehicles. Elon Musk has previously warned that the technology on the new hardware will lag behind that of HW3 by about six months.

It seems Tesla has begun rolling out its Full Seif-Driving (FSD) Beta software for vehicles equipped with HW4 (hardware 4). At least a few of the company's customers in North America reported this a few hours ago.

The owner of a Model Y, @4monstergadgets/X (Imran) reported that his car received the 2023.26.11 update. Along with it, FSD Beta was loaded onto the car, which was a pleasant surprise. So far, this is the first known HW4-equipped vehicle to receive FSD Beta. @SawyerMerritt/X also reported that several of his followers received the new feature update.

Up to this point, FSD Beta was not available for vehicles equipped with HW4. This past weekend, Elon Musk wrote that “HW4 software will lag HW3 by at least another six months, as our focus needs to be on getting FSD on HW3 working super well and provided internationally.” This led a large number of people to think that cars with HW4 would not receive the feature for about six months. But, Musk did not explicitly point this out. However, due to a combination of circumstances and some words, there was confusion in perception. At the moment, the main thing is that the owners of cars with HW4 finally got access to the function. However, it is to be expected that the rollout will likely be careful and take time for FSD Beta to be rolled out to all vehicles.
