James Rodriguez, the president and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages, expressed the significance of this advancement in providing guests with a reliable and seamless connection to their loved ones and colleagues while at sea. “Visiting with guests and travel advisors while on our yachts, I have heard firsthand how important it is for them to stay confidently connected with those back home or at the office. Starlink Wi-Fi delivers that reliability across the globe, including the remotest polar regions, instantly elevating the onboard experience,” stated Rodriguez in a press release. 

In addition to this exciting upgrade, Atlas Ocean Voyages has gone the extra mile by offering a complimentary 1 GB of the new high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi to all passengers on their expeditions. This offering demonstrates the company's commitment to providing a superior and unrivaled guest experience. 

SpaceX's Starlink internet service was integrated after receiving positive reviews from researchers after Atlas Ocean Voyages beta tested the satellite network at McMurdo Station in Antarctica last year. The remote and challenging conditions of the Antarctic region make it an ideal testing ground for such cutting-edge technology. The positive feedback received from the researchers further solidifies Starlink's reliability and its ability to provide high-speed internet access in even the most extreme environments.
