In 2023, Tesla achieved high success in sales of its vehicles in Europe. This year, the company aims to “kill ICE” in the region, according to inside information.

In the first quarter of 2023, Tesla registered meteoric growth. This is made possible by Giga Berlin, which produces over 5,000 Model Ys per week. Now European customers do not have to wait for cars to be delivered from China or the USA and they are available very quickly after ordering. In addition, prices have been significantly reduced, making the cars affordable even for those who previously could not afford one.

Model Y became the best-selling car in Europe in the first quarter of 2023. The electric car has surpassed all other cars regardless of powertrain. Model Y was the best-selling car in all key European markets, giving it a solid overall win. Q2 has also started off strong, so it is highly likely that Model Y will maintain and solidify its status as Europe's best-selling car in 2023.

According to information from teslamag.de, last week Tesla held a pan-European video conference with Tesla executives in the region. There, the pursuit of hypergrowth in Europe was set as the main goal for this year. Various slides were included in the presentation, some of which were particularly interesting.

On one of the slides, Tesla wrote that this year, it will “kill ICE.” This may mean that the manufacturer intends to surpass sales of internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, and so far, everything seems to be going according to plan. Model Y is already the best-selling car in Europe and is likely to hold its position, as Tesla is poised to put a lot of effort into it.

In addition to strengthening sales, Tesla also intends to open 30 new service centers in Europe every quarter this year. Also, 1,000 new Supercharger stalls will be added every three months. As of October 2022, their number exceeded 10,000.
