A Tesla Model 3 saved the lives of four people after it ran off the road at speed, rolling at least twice. All passengers got out of the car on their own before the arrival of relevant services.

On the night of Saturday to Sunday, February 12, 2023, at around 1:15 am, a serious traffic accident involving a Tesla Model 3 occurred on the K19 ring road between Kirchheimbolanden and Obis, Germany. The accident injured four people who survived since their car protected them. All passengers got out of the vehicle on their own, before the arrival of all relevant services, which was made possible thanks to a set of protective measures in the Tesla vehicle.

A 20-year-old man was driving on K19 towards Orbis with three passengers in his Model 3 when he lost control of the vehicle on a right turn due to high speed, according to BYC News. Given the high speed of the car and a sharp turn of the steering wheel, the electric car skidded and rolled over at least twice before stopping in a field near the road. Obviously, the speed was very high, as the low center of gravity and weight of Model 3 makes it difficult to roll it over even in major crashes. The exact speed at the time of accident was not reported. When firefighters arrived at the scene, four passengers had already exited the car on their own. They were reported to have injuries, but the severity was not specified.

The safety of Model 3, like all cars of the company, is a matter of pride. The metal structure is a combination of aluminum and steel, for maximum strength in every area. The constant, painstaking work of Tesla has amazing results because the safety of passengers and other road users is a top priority.
