The number of new Tesla car registrations is directly related to the rate of accessories purchased for said cars--a correlation that has already been repeatedly recognized. Zachary Shahan of Cleantechnica has discussed the relationship between EVANNEX product orders and Tesla vehicle deliveries. According to the latest data, Tesla Model Y may account for approximately 70% of U.S. Tesla sales.
It has been noted on numerous occasions that EVANNEX has a very good understanding of delivery trends of Tesla vehicles in the U.S. According to the company's co-founder and president Matt Pressman, roughly 70% of their orders came from aftermarket products for Tesla Model Y.
Based on his own knowledge-based assumptions, Shahan also writes that 70% sounds realistic enough to assume this number to estimate Model Y sales in the U.S.
Tesla Model Y has always been positioned as a car that will be even more popular than Model 3, and the sales figures confirm this. Model Y, which is available to order only in North America, saw 52,294 units sold in just eight months, according to EV-Sales.blog. This makes it the fourth best-selling electric vehicle (among all types) in the world. Model Y has surpassed in sales even the popular and affordable Hyundai Kona EV and Nissan Leaf, not to mention two dozen other competitors.

The compact crossover is the most popular body type, especially in the U.S., China, and Europe, the main and largest markets for cars in the world. Basically, Model Y has a multi-million unit market just waiting to start its shipping to every corner of the world.
With a small difference in price, Tesla Model Y has significantly more to offer than Model 3 from a variety of standpoints. It offers increased space inside the car with rear-hatch access, cross-country ability in various types of terrain, an optional seven seats, and more.
