Following yesterday's presentation of short shorts from Tesla, the company is striving to make a new product, ‘Teslaquila’, a reality.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has teased us with Teslaquila since 2018. This name first appeared as part of an April Fool’s joke. Musk tweeted that his company went bankrupt and he was found “passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by‘ Teslaquila’ bottles.”
Elon was found passed out against a Tesla Model 3, surrounded by "Teslaquilla" bottles, the tracks of dried tears still visible on his cheeks.

This is not a forward-looking statement, because, obviously, what's the point?

In October 2018, Tesla officially filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to trademark 'Teslaquila.' The trademark is for “distilled agave liquor” and “distilled blue agave liquor.” In fact, Tesla originally applied for this trademark in Jamaica back in April 2018 and asserted the U.S. priority date based on this foreign application. A few days later, Musk posted on Instagram a photo of a tequila bottle with the Teslaquila label pasted on it.

However, the application was rejected by the patent examiner due to the existence of another alcoholic drink with a name that was supposedly too close to 'Teslaquila'. Spirit Tesla alcoholic drink belongs to the Serbian company Valjevsko.

Since then, Tesla fans have constantly asked Musk when the tequila will appear and wanted to know at least some details about its possible appearance. On July 3, 2020, in response to a request for updates for 'Teslaquila', Musk replied: "Сoming soon."
Coming soon

This answer hints that Tesla does not intend to give up in the fight for the name for its tequila. "Coming soon, our battle with Big Tequila! It’s real," Musk wrote.
The fact is that, despite the refusal of the patent agency, in the document, you can find words that say that the revision of the decision is real.
"Although Applicant's mark has been refused registration, Applicant may respond to the refusal by submitting evidence and arguments in support of registration."
The latest information from Musk hints that Tesla exercised its right and tried to prove the uniqueness of its product and name for it. Perhaps the presentation of a new merch from the company is already close.
