SpaceX is launching internet-beaming Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit almost weekly to steadily expand internet coverage globally. Starlink customers residing in Canada shared via social media that they received an advertisement from SpaceX stating that it is currently offering a huge discount on its Starlink hardware for communities located in rural Canada. The Starlink kit that includes the phased-array antenna and Wi-Fi router to access the satellite internet network now costs $199 CAD [Canada Dollars] for a limited time, originally costing $759 – that's a whopping 73% discount!

Canadians who are interested in the broadband satellite service can visit SpaceX’s official Starlink.com website and type their address to see if the discount is offered in their area. Multiple Starlink customers who purchased the Starlink kit before this offer was announced shared that they emailed the customer support requesting ‘credit’ and said that SpaceX kindly sent around “$400-ish back in credit” to their Starlink account, money that will go back to paying their monthly Internet subscription fee which is a great saving. The Standard internet subscription for Residential service in Canada costs around $120 per month.

According to SpaceX’s official Starlink Coverage Map, the broadband satellites already provide high-speed internet across all of Canada, including remote regions where internet was previously unavailable until Starlink arrived. The Starlink constellation consists of nearly 4,000 satellites in low Earth orbit that beam data directly to user terminals.
