Harmony Energy's 11MW/22MWh Broadditch Megapack has been added to the Tesla Autobidder fleet in the UK. Broadditch uses Tesla's two-hour Megapack XL system.

The official Tesla Megapack account shared the update on Twitter. It tweeted that Harmony Energy's 11MW/22MWh Broadditch Megapack has been added to the growing Tesla Autobidder fleet in the UK. Harmony Energy already has several energy storage projects in the UK, choosing Tesla Megapack batteries for them.

Battery fund Harmony Energy Income (HEIT) has announced the energization of its Kent-based Broadditch project, making it the second asset to go online over the last four months. Broadditch was energized on schedule following HEIT’s Yorkshire-based project, Pillswood—Europe’s biggest battery energy storage system (BESS) by megawatts—which went online five months early in November.

Broadditch uses Tesla's two-hour Megapack XL system, which is slightly larger than those used at Pillswood. Both sites use Tesla Autobidder software, a trading and control platform that autonomously monetizes the BESS.

The company has nine BESS projects with a total capacity of approximately 500 MW/1 GWh, of which Pillswood and Broadditch are in operation. All projects use Tesla Megapack. The remainder of the portfolio is expected to enter commercial operation through 2023 and 2024. The construction of the 20 MW / 40 MWh Farnham project has progressed well and all of the Tesla Megapack battery modules are on site.

List of all Harmony Energy's BESS projects:

  • Pillswood - 98MW / 196MWh - Yorkshire
  • Broadditch - 11MW / 22MWh - Kent
  • Farnham - 20MW / 40MWh - Surrey
  • Rusholme - 35MW / 70MWh - Yorkshire
  • Bumpers - 99MW / 198MWh - Bucks
  • Little Raith - 49.5MW / 99MWh - Fife
  • Wormald Green - 33MW / 66MWh - Yorkshire
  • Hawthorn Pit - 49.9MW / 99.8MWh - County Durham
  • Rye Common - 99MW / 198MWh - Surrey
