Mass production of Cybertruck is approaching and Tesla is building relationships with suppliers. The company has placed a large order for Cybertruck spare parts with a South Korean company that plans to start fulfilling it as early as next month.

According to a South Korean media report, Seoyon E-Hwa won the order to install A, B, and C pillars for Tesla Cybertruck. The order amount is about 300 billion won (more than $227 million). Seoyon E-Hwa will be required to supply ABC support parts for Tesla within three years. According to the information, the contract has already been signed, but its details were not disclosed.

Seoyon E-Hwa is Korea’s representative automotive interior parts specialized company that has produced door panels, bumpers, seats, headliners, rear parcel shelves, package trays, screen assemblies, and pillar posts.

Pillars are struts that connect the car body and roof. The A-Pillar is at the front and the windshield is usually attached to it. The B-Pillar is located in the middle between the front and rear doors. The C-Pillar is located at the rear side of the vehicle. In case the vehicle is a station wagon or SUV, the C-pillar is located at the rear side of the vehicle.

Seoyon E-Hwa has received orders for all A, B, and C pillars of Tesla Cybertruck. The South Korean company has already leased a plant in Monterrey, Mexico, with a budget of around 13 billion won, to produce Tesla Cybertruck parts, according to the report. The company plans to send expatriates there next month to start producing parts.

The first deliveries of Cybertruck are scheduled for the end of Q3 2023. However, test production is scheduled for the middle of the year. For now, Tesla continues to install the Cybertruck production line at Giga Texas.
