Tesla Cybertruck is truly an iconic car that has captured the hearts of millions. With its incredible appearance, powerful performance, and affordable cost, it received orders not only from truck fans but also from a wide range of people who had never before considered buying from the segment. Orders for Cybertruck have reached a new milestone, surpassing the one million mark, while the recently unveiled Ford F-150 Lightning received only comparatively modest attention.

Last week, Ford unveiled its F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck, which should be a direct competitor to Tesla's Cybertruck. No matter how hard Ford's developers tried, the company was never able to outperform the Cybertruck's specs, although they offered their base model at almost a similar price. Whether in horsepower, torque, or towing capacity, the F-150 Lightning falls far short of the Cybertruck.

Gali from HyperChange/YouTube in the new video expressed his thoughts on the new milestone of Cybertruck's orders and its advantages over the F-150 Lightning. He points out that Tesla's pickup truck has significantly better performance at a lower starting cost, which will be a key point for many. Other competitive advantages are the Supercharging network and Full Self-Driving (FSD), which Ford still lacks despite their efforts.

According to the Cybertruck reservation tracker, the Tesla pickup truck has received 1,084,200 orders, which is an astonishing number, especially for a vehicle that was presented just a year and a half ago. In just four days, it received 200,000 orders, according to information from company's CEO Elon Musk. Meanwhile, Ford received 44,500 orders in two days, according to Ford CEO Jim Farley. While these are pretty high numbers, the devil is in the details.

Gali emphasizes that Ford is a 100-year-old company. It has a very wide audience of pickup truck lovers but only managed to get 44,500 orders. On the other hand, we have a young Tesla that has been on the market for less than 20 years. The company has never had any experience building pickup trucks, so reaching such a high number of orders is an incredibly high achievement.

Another highlight is the fact that Ford pays billions of dollars in advertising to stay visible to potential customers, while Tesla has absolutely no need for advertising. For example, its only one appearance of Cybertruck in New York led to thousands of people sharing its photos and videos on social networks. Even one such appearance in public attracts more and more potential buyers.

Tesla Cybertruck is truly an iconic car that is perhaps one of the most exciting in automotive history. While the steel beast will likely dominate its competition in most regards, on a positive note, other automakers have at least begun developing and producing electric vehicles that are gradually replacing internal combustion-powered vehicles. Of course, while it will take a lot of effort and time for them to be able to perfect them, it is commendable they have begun the work.
