Elon Musk Joins Possible's Marketing Event

Elon Musk will join Linda Yaccarino at Possible's event to discuss Twitter 2.0. It will raise topics about the value of the new Twitter for marketers, culture, and conversations.

Beyond Ordinary Events Inc. and POSSIBLE announced that Elon Musk will join as a speaker for their marketing event. The owner and CEO of Twitter and Linda Yaccarino, Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships, NBCUniversal will join forces on stage in a keynote entitled: “Twitter 2.0: From Conversations to Partnerships.”

According to the announcement, the session will be an “intimate conversation” between Yaccarino and Musk that will discuss Twitter 2.0 and the future of marketers on the platform, as well as Twitter's role in cultural discussions. This session will take place at 12:55 pm EST on Tuesday, April 18 at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

As Chairman of Global Advertising and Partnerships, Yaccarino is the strategic and operational liaison between NBCUniversal's global networks, real estate, and business divisions. She oversees all global, national, and local advertising sales, partnerships, B2B marketing, ad technology, data, metering, and commerce.

In early November, just after Musk bought Twitter, Yaccarino brought to the industry's attention that Twitter had no surrogate, so there was no need to bet against the new owner. She noted that she is “obsessed” with Musk's maneuvers since taking over Twitter. “First of all, I think it's fascinating,” Yaccarino said during the Ad Age Next: Streaming conference. In her speech, Yaccarino was rooting for Musk to figure out Twitter. She said, “Twitter is the single, No.1 biggest content partner, content distribution partner for NBCUniversal.”

After Elon Musk bought Twitter, he published an open letter to advertisers urging them to work together to make a rewarding experience for the platform's users and companies' potential customers. He explained that if done right, advertising can delight, entertain, and inform users, which will ultimately benefit all parties. Advertising “can delight, entertain and inform you; it can show you a service or product or medical treatment that you never knew existed, but is right for you. For this to be true, it is essential to show Twitter users advertising that is as low relevancy ads are spam, but highly relevant ads are actually content!” Musk wrote.
