Tesla is committed to enhancing the customer's car ownership experience, and therefore, is wanting to providing the best possible service. Tesla's service is always at a high level, but the company can find ways to improve. Now, Tesla is launching a new service in its service centers: collision repairs.

Tesla once again takes care of its customers where other automakers do not care. Third-party repair shops often take a very long time with collision repairs--sometimes even several months--creating obvious difficulties for clients. While car owners of various brands are forced to agree to this, Tesla has made sure that its customers receive an improved service.

On January 28, the company notified customers that Tesla service centers are now offering post-collision repairs, CNBC reported. In a message to customers, the company indicated that it now carries out a very wide range of repairs, from small scuffs to suspension and axle damage. Full message:

"Collision Repair is Here

January 28, 2021

Fix minor dents, scuffs, scratches and more now at your local Tesla Service Center as an alternative option to a body shop. Our optimized repair flow enables a fast and seamless experience when you need it most.

Collision repair services may include: suspension and axle damage, front and rear bumpers, hoods, liftgates and side mirror caps, along with doors, wheels and all glass repairs.

To schedule an appointment select “Collision & Glass Repair” from the Service menu in your Tesla app and track your service experience with step-by-step notifications."

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been talking about the importance of this for several years, and now the company is making it a reality. Tesla already has an edge over repair shops when it comes to timely service. While outside repair shops serve thousands of brands and models, Tesla service centers specialize exclusively in Tesla vehicles. As the capabilities of the company's service centers expand, the experience of owning a Tesla is bound to even further improve.

In addition, from a bottom line perspective, collision repairs are expected to represent a larger revenue segment for Tesla over time.
