Shift4 Payments founder Jared Isaacman went on an adventure of a lifetime in September last year, when he lifted off atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from historic Launch Pad-39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The mission, known as Inspiration4, captivated the hearts of America (and the world) because four inspiring individuals launched into space representing the best traits of humanity – Leadership, Hope, Prosperity, and Generosity – to fundraise for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Isaacman represented leadership as Inspiration4 commander. His crewmates are: St. Jude physician assistant Hayley Arceneaux, who represented Hope as a pediatric cancer survivor; Geoscience professor and pilot Dr. Sian Proctor represented Prosperity; And U.S. Air Force veteran Chris Sembroski represented the trait of Generosity. They experienced a three day orbital spaceflight aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon and shared awe-inspiring views of Earth from an altitude of around 585-kilometers, which is the highest altitude any human has traveled to since the Hubble Space Telescope was last serviced by the Space Shuttle STS-103 mission in 1999.
Inspiration4 Commander Isaacman is a pilot who also founded Draken International, a company that operates one of the world’s largest fleets of privately-owned fighter jets that provides services to train pilots for the U.S. Armed Forces. This week, he performed a flyover above SpaceX’s Starbase launch site with his friends aboard fighter jets. Isaacman shared via social media that he is staying in South Texas to attend the upcoming Starship update presentation at Boca Chica Village, scheduled to take place on Thursday next week at 8:00 p.m. CST. They flew over SpaceX’s Starship rocket factory and shared amazing flyover photos and videos, shown below.

Isaacman shared flyover photographs of the enormous Starbase orbital launch tower that is equipped with robotic arms to stack Starship atop a Super Heavy rocket in the coming days. SpaceX founder Elon Musk said that the company plans to stack the Starship SN20 prototype atop Booster 4 ahead of the Starship presentation, during which Musk plans to discuss the rocket-ship’s development progress and details about the upcoming debut orbital flight test. “Great day with the gang flying over Starbase…incredible progress SpaceX team! Really excited for Elon Musk update and to see fully stacked Starship,” wrote Isaacman via Twitter.
