Today, NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in Queens received 40 vital ventilators from Tesla. NYC Health + Hospitals shared this news on its Twitter account.

The ventilators were sent to New York as part of a donation from an electric vehicle manufacturer, which is currently the only one that actively helps all US residents and is developing its own ventilators, which are vital in different states of the country.
Earlier, several hospitals had already received ventilators from Tesla, the company’s CEO Elon Musk, continues to help ensure that medical institutions that are in dire need of equipment receive them. Today, he wrote on Twitter that the ventilators will be sent to those hospitals that need them now, but not those that at this stage will not use them.
We have extra FDA-approved ventilators. Will ship to hospitals worldwide within Tesla delivery regions. Device & shipping cost are free. Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse. Please me or @Tesla know.

Omead Afshar, Office of the CEO at Tesla, very pleased that the company's efforts are beneficial. He is also very grateful to the medical staff who daily struggle for the life and health of patients infected with COVID-19.
Blown away by the healthcare workers. @NYCHealthSystem https://t.co/b4NZpnRvQ6

Tesla once again shows that it is ready to make every effort to help people. While other companies that have shown a desire to develop ventilators are bargaining with the government to get as much development money as possible and are doing absolutely nothing to help the citizens of America, Tesla has already done many invaluable actions. At that time, as company experts in alliance with Medtronic, were already developing ventilators for production at the Tesla factory in Buffalo, the automaker was supplying protective equipment (masks, gowns, gloves, helmets) for hospitals and ventilators for patients.
Tesla’s contribution to the fight against СOVID-19 can hardly be overestimated, because thanks to their efforts many lives have already been saved.
