Tesla owners around the world have banded together to provide assistance to the Ukrainian population suffering from the war. Once again, the Tesla community is demonstrating its love, care, and support to those in need.
For the whole world, Russia's brutal attack on Ukraine was a big surprise that no one could believe. I remember the day I woke up to the sound of missile explosions that hit a facility just 1.5 miles from my home. After a while, there were explosions again; the floor shook under my feet, and my heart sank in my chest. Such was the sudden and terrible awakening for hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians across the country. Many of us could not believe that Russia had launched a full-scale war against Ukraine.
On that day, tens of millions of people, innocent and defenseless children experienced terrible fear, because we lost a sense of safety and confidence in the future. I remember the frightened eyes of my 8-year-old son when I woke him up and said that we urgently need to pack and run away because the war began. On that day and several subsequent ones, millions of Ukrainians left their homes, all their belongings, acquired over the years, in order to save their lives. We became refugees fleeing the war.
In such conditions, people do not even have basic things. Millions of people were in need of clothing, food, shelter, and medicine, which could not be provided in such a volume so quickly. People around the world have rallied to provide assistance to the Ukrainians as quickly as possible. Tesla owners around the world became one of these.
The Tesla community in the United States is actively fundraising to buy things necessary to help Ukrainians. For example, Tesla East Bay Club | Fremont/Twitter held a charity event where everyone could make a donation, which was then sent to Ukraine.
Morning recap of our @Tesla Cars & Coffee donation drive for Ukraine. This is what our Car club community is all about! Shoutout to @KTVU for sharing and raising awareness! We are in it together! Keep hope alive and let’s make life on 🌎 better! @JamesTorrezNews @pewolf pic.twitter.com/JP6zvS8kiv

Tesla owners from various European countries such as Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Germany, and others are also collecting donations to buy food, medicine, baby food, personal care products, and more. After that, they form convoys of dozens of Teslas to bring the donations to the border of Ukraine. They travel thousands of miles, not only to give vital things to Ukrainians, but also to help refugees reach European countries far from Ukraine.
My friend, Professeur Tournesol/Twitter, and other Tesla owners, went to Poland for the fourth time to bring refugees to the Netherlands. In fact, they spend their weekends helping those who are in great need, putting aside personal affairs and leisure. Tesla Owners Italia/Twitter also regularly do the same because they are not indifferent, because they are caring, because they are kind. Hundreds of Tesla owners from all over the world have repeatedly offered to help my family, for which I am sincerely grateful to them. During this difficult time, they proved to be true and caring friends.

The Tesla community has once again shown that it is not just a club of car owners of a certain brand, it has shown that it is one big family. Their efforts have helped thousands of people receive life-saving aid and find shelter. Just as Tesla's mission is to help all of humanity, the hearts of the company's product owners are directed towards kindness to all people, especially those who are in dire need of it.
Tesla and SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, who personally supports Ukraine with great heart, have provided significant assistance and support to the country. Tesla has opened free access to its Superchargers for all EVs in European countries bordering Ukraine. SpaceX sent Starlink terminals to Ukraine so that military and critical infrastructure facilities have access to the Internet. In addition, Tesla sent kits for an uninterruptible power supply of electricity to Starlink dishes. A team of Tesla volunteers prototyped and deployed custom Powerwall kits for this.
I have been a member of the Tesla community for over three years and have watched them unite to support those who need help. They have repeatedly helped those in need: those who are sick, suffering from natural disasters, or those who have become victims of war. Every time, I come to the same conclusion: the Tesla community is a big, kind FAMILY who readily and eagerly gives its love and support. Thank you!
