Tesla has begun expanding its non-Tesla Supercharger pilot program to another important European country. Now, in addition to the Netherlands, Norway, France, Austria, Belgium, Spain, Sweden and the UK, owners of all-electric vehicles in Germany can charge at some Tesla-branded charging stations.

Tesla continues to expand support for electric vehicle owners in Europe. According to observations by German EV owner @tomasfreres/Twitter, the manufacturer has opened one of its Superchargers for all EVs in Germany and it is located in Limburg. The move marks continued support for the development of the electric vehicle market and the people who choose environmentally friendly vehicles. The company's efforts directly support its mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.

Tesla emphasizes that access to an extensive, convenient, and reliable fast-charging network is critical to the widespread adoption of electric vehicles. That's why since the opening of the first Supercharger stations in 2012, the company has continued to rapidly expand its network and today has more than 35,000 Supercharger stalls worldwide. Tesla has always been committed to opening up the Supercharger network to all electric vehicles and thereby encouraging more drivers to switch to electric vehicles. More customers using the Supercharger network enables faster expansion.

Thus, the total number of countries in which the pilot program operates has reached nine. Tesla monitors all Superchargers in which access is open to charge all EVs in order to control the situation and make adjustments if necessary. Please note that access is only available at certain charging stations in the countries. The non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently available for Supercharging stations in the following countries:

  • France
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • United Kingdom
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria
  • Germany

The Non-Tesla Supercharger pilot is currently limited to EV drivers who live in the following countries:
  • Netherlands
  • France
  • Norway
  • Germany
  • United Kingdom
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Belgium
  • Austria

Please note that Tesla has not announced this event yet and has not updated the information on its website at the time of writing. However, this article is based on the personal experience of the owner of an EV, who has already experienced the ability to charge on a Supercharger in Germany.
