Tesla Model S 3 X Y in California Now Eligible for Additional $1,500 'Clean Fuel Reward,' With No Income/Price Limits

Times are great for California residents planning to buy a Tesla or any other electric vehicle. Under the new Clean Fuel Reward program, customers receive an additional $1,500 rebate on top of the $2,500 Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) rebate and other state, local, and federal incentives.

The California Clean Fuel Reward is available to all California residents who buy or lease new electric vehicles with a battery capacity greater than 5 kWh. This instant electric vehicle reward is offered on a sliding scale, depending on battery size, up to $1,500. When buying a Tesla, the customer receives a maximum amount of $1,500.

The reward is available to all California residents who purchase or lease an eligible vehicle through a participating retailer. There are no income or location restrictions within California, but the vehicle must be registered in the State of California.

California is Tesla's home state. Locals have always been very supportive of the manufacturer and were loyal to it in the most difficult times. The number of Tesla owners in the state is estimated at tens of thousands. We can expect the additional price cut to further stimulate sales and strengthen delivery figures as we move through Q4 2020.
