Tesla Model 3 Became #1 Best-Selling EV In Netherlands For The Month Of June

Tesla in June continues to lead in various automotive markets in the world. Data from the Netherlands show that Model 3 is once again becoming the leader in domestic sales.

The share of PEV in the Netherlands continues to grow, with 16% (11% BEV) in June, which increases the share of PEV 2020 to 13% (9% BEV), which is significantly higher than last year's result (6%).

EV-Sales reports that the Tesla Model 3 has taken the lead by selling 716 units. Its closest competitor, Kia Niro EV, sold 542 units and finished 2nd. The Volvo XC40 PHEV ended the month in 3rd place, with 374 units. In 4th place, we have the Hyundai Kona EV, with 326 units, and at 5th place is the VW e-Golf, which sold 299 vehicles.

If we look at the 2020 rating, we see that the Tesla Model 3 ended the six months with an advantage of 391 units over the Kia Niro EV, which sold 2,690 vehicles. Kia Niro EV sold 2,299 units, the VW e-Golf 1,912, which allowed them to take 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

Tesla's midsizer is in the lead, selling 2,690 Model 3s in 2020, followed by the BMW 3-Series (2,041) and Volvo S/V60 (1,884), ranking second and third respectively.
