Tesla Model 3 Saves its Occupants’ Lives After Major Collision with Road Debris

Traffic accidents occur frequently and unfortunately claim the lives of tens of thousands of people in the U.S. each year. Nevertheless, Tesla cars have established themselves as some of the safest in the world, preventing accidents and saving lives even if an accident does occur. Tesla Model 3 again saved the lives of occupants in an accident when it collided with debris on the road.

According to the National Safety Council, in 2020, 4.8 million people were injured and 42,060 people died as a result of car crashes in the U.S. These are very high numbers that show the seriousness of the situation. Meanwhile, Tesla vehicles continue to demonstrate high reliability by preventing collisions or maximally protecting their occupants from injury if a collision occurs.

A few days ago, Grant Weinmann/Twitter had a serious accident in his Tesla Model 3. The collision caused the car to be severely damaged, while the occupants received only a few minor cuts and bruises. According to the accident description, Grant was driving his Model 3 up a hill and suddenly noticed some debris on the road. The car ran into the debris, causing it to be thrown onto the tree line.

As you can see from the photographs, the body of the car was badly damaged, but nevertheless, it perfectly protected its occupants. Grant said that he and the other passenger received only a few cuts and bruises and did not even need to go to the hospital. Thanks to the robust and well-thought-out design of the car, the two occupants survived the accident. Grant and his friend expressed their deep gratitude to Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk for this.

In February 2021, the Tesla Model 3 won the IIHS Top Safety Pick + Award for the third time in a row, showing top marks in the category and proving it to be one of the safest vehicles in the world. The safety of Model 3, like with all cars of the company, is a matter of pride. The metal structure is a combination of aluminum and steel, for maximum strength in every area. The constant, painstaking work of Tesla has amazing results because the safety of occupants and other road users is a priority. The company cares greatly about safety, and is constantly developing and improving various systems that prevent the occurrence of crashes—and enhance passenger safety in the event of them.
