Tesla Roadster may have been featured on the LA Auto Show flyer, but its appearance there raises questions. Although the image does not clearly indicate that this is a new generation Roadster, a number of signs hint at it.
The next-generation Roadster is a high-tech masterpiece, which takes driving pleasure to the next level. After initially being unveiled in 2017, the company was forced to put orders on hold as it focused on building factories and ramping up production of its more affordable models that the market needed. Since Tesla's goal was to increase the number of electric vehicles on the roads globally, the first priority was focused here. Today, with Tesla reaching a production capacity of over one million vehicles a year and putting about 3 million vehicles on the road, it is time to put out a more expensive car.
During the grand opening of Giga Texas in April 2022, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that production of Roadster will begin in 2023, although he did not give any other details. It was previously reported that its production will take place in Fremont. Perhaps the company is actively preparing for the start of production and is now starting to tease the public.
The LA Auto Show will take place November 18-27, 2022. This is an annual international trade show held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on 760,000 square feet of exhibition space. LA Auto Show is one of the world's largest auto shows with 1,000 vehicles. “Our show is your one-stop shop for comparing cars, trucks, SUVs, electric vehicles and more without any sales pressure,” says the organizer.
Most notably, the LA Auto Show featured a car on its flyer that in many ways resembles the new generation Tesla Roadster. The shape of the body, the curves at the front of the car, the shape of the headlights and wheels are all exactly the same as the Roadster. This image was spotted by @klwtts/Twitter who made some suggestions about it.
@klwtts concedes that Tesla may release the final production version of the new Roadster in November at the LA Auto Show. Although Tesla has previously preferred to do its own events where it presented its cars, we still cannot rule out that this time the company will act differently. The next-generation Tesla Roadster has already been unveiled and only minor design changes are likely, so it may not need a grand introduction ceremony.
You can’t tell me that’s not a Tesla Roadster being used to market the #LAAutoShow!!

Could @Tesla be unveiling a final production version of the new Roadster in November? @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/NjbPwyC8JA
Although we do not expect significant external changes to the Tesla Roadster, we can say with confidence that internally it is fundamentally different from what was in the prototype presented in 2017. One of the most important changes will be to the motor that was originally designed for and installed in the Model S Plaid. The new electric motor is the first of its kind to be in production and features carbon sleeve rotors. In addition, it will have many other interesting things, such as the SpaceX package and the ability to levitate.
